The Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has today August 24,2018 announced the 24 man list that will battle Seychelles in September 4 AFCON qualifier match.



The list which includes the controversial skipper Odion Ighalo and four players that did not make it to Russia which are Kelechi Nwakali, Jamilu Collins, Semi Ajayi and Samuel Kalu.

It has been earlier reported that the team captain John Mikel Obi has already withdrawn from the qualifier match because he is still recuperating from injury sustained in his Chinese club while Victor Moses has retired from playing for Nigeria.

The Nigeria squad for the the must win qualifier match are:

Goalkeeper: Uzoho, Akpeyi and Ezenwa

Defenders: Ekong, Balogun, OMERUO, Jamiu Collins, Idowu, Awaziem, Aina and Ajayi

Midfielders: Etebo, Ogu, Onazi, Ndidi, Joel Obi and Nwakali

Forwards: Musa, Iwobi, Kalu, Iheanacho,Simmy Nwankwo, Onyekuru and Ighalo

Nigeria who lost their first match of the qualifier last June at home to South Africa by 2:0 will be facing Seychelles, in a must win match while South Africa will be battling Libya in order to fortify their qualifying status.

However, the Super Eagle assistant coach Salisu Yusuf will not be journeying with the team to Seychelles because of the corruption charges against him that his yet to be resolved.
