The audio, which was shared by controversial social media critic VeryDarkMan, accused Nedu of having close connections with individuals involved in drug trafficking and fraud across Turkey, South Africa, and Morocco.

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, VeryDarkMan escalated the matter by submitting a petition against Nedu at the embassies of these countries in Nigeria.

Reacting to the allegations, Nedu took to his Instagram story to clear the air, denying any involvement in criminal activities.

“Hello everyone, this is not a joke anymore. I know nothing about the voice note circulating online. I did not make that voice note. While this may seem like fun and games to some, I have never and will never be involved in anything criminal,” he wrote.
