Asari Dokubo, a former Niger Delta militant leader, has vowed to kill the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Dokubo said that the struggle for the actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra has been compromised by the IPOB leader. In a video he shared on Facebook on Wednesday morning, he wondered why Kanu is running instead of facing the Nigerian Government squarely.

He also blasted Kanu for alleged killing Prophet Anthony Nwoko, insisting he has not killed anyone before, even as a Muslim.

He said, “Our fellow Biafrans, in this period of darkness, a few people have decided to thrash our struggle in the blood of our own people.

So that they will become Supreme leaders, saviours and messiahs. “We didn’t see the red flag, the signals were always there but some people saw it before us.

“But because we believed that Biafra must be achieved with any means possible, we did not see these dangerous signals early enough.”

Asari, still talking about the assassination of Biafra Prophet, Nwoko, said it was wrong for the Biafran struggle to be turned into bloodshed.

He warned that he would not hesitate to kill Nnamdi Kanu if he dares him, saying, “I’ll smoke you out. I’m not boasting.

“I’ ll smoke you out from every hole, every corner.

They know me. “If one idiot threatens to attack me and makes good his words to attack me, I’ll kill him.”

Due to the disappearance and failure to appear before the court of law of the leader of the Indigeneous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, the Federal High Court in Abuja today Wednesday  ordered the three persons, including Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, who stood sureties for the IPOB leader  to within two months, pay the sum of N100m each into the court’s account for their inability to produce Kanu.

Justice Binta Nyako gave the order on Wednesday in a ruling in which she amended the conditions of the bail she had in April 2017 granted Kanu.

It will be recalled that Kanu is being prosecuted before the court on charges of treasonable felony. His trial had been earlier separated from that of his co-accused following his disappearance after a military invasion of his home in Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia, in Abia State, on September 14, 2017 The three sureties who guaranteed his bail had been made to sign a bail bond of N100m each which was backed by their landed assets whose documents were deposited in court.

But with the amendment ordered by the court on Wednesday, they are now required to deposit cash of N100m in the bank account of the court. Justice Nyako ruled that the three sureties had two months to pay the sum of N100m each into the court’s account. The judge reiterated that the order directing the sureties to pay the money was an order of interim forfeiture.

Meanwhile, March 28 has  now been   fixed  for the hearing of the motions filed by the sureties to challenging the duties imposed on them to produce the IPOB leader.
