Tells what you know about this game .

Group D comes into a mouth-watering conclusion on Tuesday as Argentina will clash with Nigeria at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.

Argentina have been handed a lifeline following Iceland's 2-0 loss to their next opponents Nigeria and are still on the verge of a World Cup group stage exit following their devastating 3-0 loss to Croatia , who have already won their group and qualified for the last 16 phase.

This summer's finals in Russia was meant to be a chance for Argentina to redeem themselves following their runners-up finish in Brazil four years ago, as well as Lionel Messi's potential World Cup swan song.

Their tournament, however, has been shrouded in misery through a series of poor group and individual performances and Messi missing a crucial spot-kick against Iceland that would have put Argentina in the lead.

Nigeria are second in their group and could qualify should they beat Argentina. The South American side, however, still have a final shot at making it to the last 16 if they are to beat Nigeria, and if Croatia managed to avoid defeat to Iceland.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the Group D fixture between the two sides.

It is also possible the Sampaoli might drop goalkeeper Willy Caballero after a poor display against Croatia in favour of Nahuel Guzman – though he is inexperienced – and third-choice Franco Armani is still to earn his first senior cap.
