The independent national electoral commission INEC has extended the date for the collection of the permanent voters card.



The voters card was collection was meant to be closed today Friday 8th of February 2019 but it has been extended to Monday February 11 2019. This was made known by the chairman of the commission in abuja yesterday. He disclosed that the reason for the extension is because of the various complaints they got from Nigerians that haven't been able to collect thiers with the reason that the time frame given by inec is short. The commission however in the quest to meet the voters needs and also to ensure a credible election extended the deadline to Monday also stating that the collection will also take place on Saturday and Sunday too from 9am to 6pm in every local government in the federation.
