Earlier today 27thof March 2020, the apex court in the court; the Supreme Court has again dismissed the reviewing of verdict application by the Zamafara state All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the last general election Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, the application is for a review of its May 24, 2019 judgment in the intra-party dispute in the APC Zamfara chapter.

In the ruling this morning, four members of a five-member panel (4/5), led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Muhammad, dismissed the application on the grounds that it lack merit.

However, Justice Inyang Okoro, in the lead judgment, held that the ruling was a gross abuse of the process of the court and the judge proceeded to award cost of N2million against the applicant.

Meanwhile, In a dissenting judgment, Justice Centus Nweze held that the court ought to have reviewed the judgment by setting aside the consequential order which made the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the ultimate beneficiary of the intra-party crisis in the Zamfara APC.

It will be recalled that the Supreme court failed to review her verdict in the Bayelsa and Imo state judgment, this is seeing a stand to see the supreme court as the final though it might be fallible.
