Real Madrid skipper and Croatia captain, Luca Modric missed a penalty which could have given Croatia early win over Denmark on Sunday night.



The penalty was saved by Schmmichel, Leicester city goalkeeper. The miss took the game into extra time and into penalty shootout, as both team played 1-1 draw after full time and extra time. Although Croatia finally took the win in the penalty shootout by Rakitic's final shoot and the game ended 3-2 in favour of the Croatians.

Modric has joined notable stars like Ronaldo, Messi, who has missed penalty in the world cup. Croatia will be facing Russia in their next round of game, after Russia won Spain through penalties as well.
