Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions, Edo Queens, have officially declared their player, Comfort Folorunsho, Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) after she reportedly left the club without notice.

In an official statement released on Thursday, the Benin City-based club revealed that Folorunsho packed her belongings and departed without informing the management, despite being under a valid contract.

Edo Queens have cautioned other clubs against signing her without obtaining the necessary clearance. However, they expressed willingness to release her in a professional and orderly manner to any club that follows due process.

"Comfort Folorunsho remains under contract with Edo Queens FC, and she is not permitted to leave without officially notifying the club of her whereabouts. This serves as a warning to all clubs not to engage her services without our clearance," the statement read.
