In an unexpected turn of events, Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy stirred up a social media storm this morning by trolling fellow musician Davido over his property in Banana Island.
Burna Boy took to his Instagram Stories to accuse Davido of deceiving the public about purchasing the luxury Sujimoto house, suggesting that Davido had been claiming ownership when, in fact, he only rented it. The African Giant also went on to allege that Davido had claimed ownership of several properties that were, in fact, rented, even going as far as calling it a "criminal offence" to deceive the public in such a manner. Burna Boy further advised his colleague to do better in 2025 and move away from a "deceiving lifestyle."
However, the drama didn’t last long. Less than two hours later, Sujimoto, the renowned property company behind the Banana Island mansion, took to their official Instagram page to set the record straight. The company confirmed that Davido had indeed purchased the house, putting to rest Burna Boy’s accusations of renting. Sujimoto clarified that the property was not leased or rented, and the ownership claim was legitimate.
As of now, Burna Boy has yet to respond to Sujimoto's statement or address the new development. Fans are eagerly awaiting his reaction, as this exchange between the two music stars continues to spark discussions across social media.
