Popular media personality, Daddy Freeze, has weighed in on the ongoing controversy between Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje, advising men to stop giving money to women when they can simply "scope" them.
The drama erupted after Sophia accused Burna Boy of failing to fulfill his promise of gifting her a Lamborghini in exchange for intimacy. Taking to social media, she publicly called out the singer for reneging on the alleged agreement.
In response, Burna Boy mocked Sophia in a viral video, ridiculing her frustration over the unfulfilled car promise.
Reacting to the situation, Daddy Freeze took Burna Boy’s side, urging men to be more persuasive instead of offering financial incentives for intimacy.
"Women, stop selling your bodies for a Lamborghini! And men, don’t you have game? Why are you offering cars? Burna Boy, well done! The government needs to step in—this sex-for-gifts trend isn’t okay," he said in a video on his Instagram page.
Captioning the post, Daddy Freeze further emphasized: "Burna did well. Never press money when you can scope. The government must address this sex-for-Lambo culture."
The controversy continues to spark debates online, with fans weighing in on the ethics of transactional relationships in the entertainment industry.
