Few months ago, Nigerian artist - David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido caused serious trend on social media after he took up a mandatory challenge to serve his country for one year under National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Now, there is an ongoing report about NYSC's cancellation of Davido's 1-year service programme. This is due to the comment made by Davido under the post of a famous Nigerian artist - Adesegun Adeosun Jr popularly known as Smade. King Smade took on his Instagram page, posted his letter of commendation for outstanding performance from NYSC and not long after Davido showed up in the comments section with a message that read, “Nah so dem cancel my own.” Now this is the point - Davido's comment was under Smade's post that showed letter of commendation not NYSC certificate. The singer (Davido) who had turned his camp arrival into a concert was also very active during his own orientation. It could also be assumed that the singer's commendation for social activities was cancelled not his service. So, it might be that Davido was expecting a letter of commendation but it was later not awarded. But it is apparent that Davido's 1-year service has not been cancelled. Also, his comment has been erased from the post.
