Davido, a superstar musician from Nigeria, chose Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi as the greatest player in football history.

Performing at the 2023 Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Awards marked Davido's second high-profile appearance after his appearance at the Qatar-hosted 2022 FIFA World Cup.

With the spotlight firmly on him, the DMW huncho said he loves them both but personally prefers Ronaldo.

He said, “Cristiano for me, you know, what outcomes, very, very disciplined,
“I am a very, very disciplined person, you know, and to have that kind of success and to be so disciplined at the same time is something I’ve always admired about him.
“I like both of them. But, personally, I’m a Ronaldo guy.”

Messi is the favorite to win this year’s Ballon d’Or award for a record-extending eighth time, while Ronaldo has won it seven times and didn’t make the 30-man shortlist this time around.
