Nigerian singer Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, popularly known as Bad Boy Timz, has recounted how “assassins” shot him in the eye when he was nine.

He said the gunmen, who ambushed a car conveying his family in the Mushin area of Lagos, started shooting sporadically, and one of the bullets hit him in the eye.

The ‘MJ’ crooner disclosed this in a recent chat with British-Nigerian media personality Shopsydoo.

Timz said, “I got shot in the eye when I was nine years old. They were assassins; they didn’t even stop the car; they just shot the bullets. It was not a robbery.

“Me, my mom, my dad, and my immediate elder brother There were four of us in the car. The incident happened in Lagos, or Mushin, to be precise. They just overtook us and started shooting. They were targeting my dad’s head; he dodged, and the bullet went straight into my eye.”

Timz, who said the assailants were never apprehended, disclosed that he will be undergoing another eye surgery soon.
