Veteran Nigerian singer ElDee the Don has said his dad was the first person to bring the internet to Nigeria.
He made the claim in a recent interview with media personality JOI.
He said that although he studied architecture, he inherited ICT knowledge from his father.
The ex-member of the disbanded Trybemen said, “My dad was the person that brought the internet, the very first person that brought the internet to Nigeria. So, he set up pretty much everyone—all the companies that initially opened, all the first cybercafés that you know. All of those connections came through my parents.
“He was an IT guy. So, naturally, by association, I am very aligned with IT even though I studied architecture.”
He said the Nigerian musicians he currently listens to are Fireboy DML, Oxlade, Joeboy, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and Mavins artists.
