Ace comedian and filmmaker, Ayo Makun, famously known as AY, revealed that his troubles began after he openly supported the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the previous election.

Despite facing challenges, he stands by his decision to support Obi.

AY shared his experience during the Easter edition of his comedy show, AY Live, in Lagos on Sunday. He expressed, “I supported Peter Obi in the last presidential election, and I don’t regret it. That's when my problems started."
His decision to endorse Obi wasn't based on political ambitions but on his desire for positive change in Nigeria. AY emphasized, “I'm not a politician. I don't know much about politics. But I want Nigeria to improve. After I showed support for Obi on social media, my house was set on fire. It made me realize that, after God, you should respect and fear the government. They can surprise you."

Despite the challenges he faced, AY remains committed to advocating for positive change in the country.
