Nigerian business mogul, Cubana Chief Priest, has made an appearance at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos State, for the ongoing trial concerning alleged naira abuse.
Following the filing of a three-count charge against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 16, Cubana Chief Priest was arraigned at the Federal High Court in Lagos the next day.
During the court proceedings, the social media influencer pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him.
Subsequently, Judge Kehinde Ogundare granted him bail in the sum of N10 million, requiring two responsible sureties to stand in like sum.
The judge stipulated that the bail conditions must be fulfilled within seven days.
Cubana Chief Priest was released into the custody of his lawyer, who must provide an undertaking to ensure his presence at future court dates. Failure to comply may result in his remand in a correctional facility.
This development marks the latest chapter in the legal proceedings against Cubana Chief Priest, whose case has drawn significant attention from the public and media alike.
