Nigerian actress Nancy Isime has opened up about her views on marriage, revealing that her focus has always been on building a successful career and achieving financial independence.
During a recent appearance on the *Creativitea Live with Lynda* podcast, Isime shared that while many young girls dream of their weddings, she has always been more passionate about work and personal growth.
"I've always seen myself working. I say this to a few people, but when young girls sit down and daydream about getting married, I never did," the actress explained. "I used to daydream about working, making my own money, and being independent. I fear I might not even have my dream wedding because, really, what is a dream wedding? Even if I do get married, it will be a wedding that reflects where we both are at that moment. If it's big, fine. If it's small, that's okay too."
Isime's perspective highlights a growing trend among women who prioritize career and independence over societal expectations around marriage.
