Stan Alieke, the lawyer representing embattled singer Speed Darlington, has thrown down the gauntlet to Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy.
He urged Burna Boy to arrest socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, for alleged defamation, just as he did with Speed Darlington.
According to Naijacrawl, Cubana Chief Priest has been taking jabs at Burna Boy on social media. This was seemingly in response to a subtle shade from the singer. In one of his controversial posts, Chief Priest claimed Burna Boy had an illicit relationship with American music mogul Diddy in a bid to secure a Grammy Award.
The claims mirror allegations made by Speed Darlington, which led to his arrest. Now, Darlington’s lawyer is challenging Burna Boy to take similar action against Chief Priest.
Stan Alieke expressed his stance via his Instagram story, calling out what he perceives as inconsistency. He wrote:
"Your petition claims that the Diddy and baby oil banter caused ‘irreparable damage to your international reputation and made you lose numerous gigs.’
“Now, another individual with greater reach and influence has referenced the same baby oil and Diddy banter. The world is watching to see if you’ll involve the police again. If not, the streets may interpret your actions as cowardice.
“Well, I’m just a lawyer seeking fairness for all.”
This bold callout has fueled the already heated online debate, as fans eagerly await Burna Boy’s next move. Will he take action or let the claims slide? Only time will tell.
