Prince, Davido's lawyer, believes Wizkid earned the Grammy Award he lost to African superstar Angelique Kidjo.

This came after Wizkid's two nominations were unexpectedly revoked. In the category of Global Music Album, he lost to Angelique Kidjo, and he also lost his second nomination in the area of Best Global Performing Music.

Despite Davido and Wizkid's reported feud, his lawyer stooped to honesty and said that Wizkid deserved it.

He stated, in his own words:

“I don’t know much, and don’t speak much on these things, but we ALL KNOW that award belonged to ‘Essence’. They gave the world an ANTHEM.”
