FOREIGN NEWS: Niger Coup: Niger President and Interior Minister Got Detained by Troop [New Foreign News] » Naijacrawl

Early this morning, elements of the Presidential Guard (GP) in Niger Republic engaged in an anti-Republican mood movement and tried in vain to obtain the support of the National Armed Forces and the National Guard.



However, the Niger President Mohamed Bazoum and his minister for interior are being detained by guards

The Army and the National Guard are ready to attack the elements of the GP involved in this mood swing if they do not return to better feelings.

Meanwhile, the ECOWAS Chairman President Bola Tinubu has promised that ECOWAS wouldn't recognize any coup leader in Niger, and he beseech the coup masterminders to have a change of plan.
