Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has addressed the recent air strike in Rafah, southern Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians.

Netanyahu emphasized that the strike was not intended to cause civilian casualties and promised a thorough investigation into the incident.

In a speech to parliament, Netanyahu stated, "In Rafah, we already evacuated about 1 million non-combatant residents and despite our utmost effort not to harm non-combatants, something unfortunately went tragically wrong." His address was interrupted by opposition lawmakers, reflecting the intense emotions surrounding the event. He assured, "We are investigating the incident and will reach conclusions, because this is our policy."
