As the selection process for the Director General for the World Trade Organization is approaching, of which it remain only two candidate, which are South Korea and Nigeria.



However, the Nigeria candidate; Ngozi Okonjo Iweala received a boost for her candidacy yesterday as the European parliament collectively endorse her bid.

The European Parliament made this known through a press release made on her twitter handle.

I am pleased to announce, that the @Europarl_EN

is endorsing @NOIweala

as the Director-General of the @WTO

.After our joint hearing on Monday we are convinced by her vision for the future of multilateralism and advise WTO members to support her bid.
