The Presidential Spokesperson, Garba Shehu has refuted the claim by the online publisher; SaharaReporters that he was the one that write for News Agency Of Nigeria, that the embattled EFCC chairman gave the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo 4 billion Naira bribe, a rumour that was later spread by one Jackson Ude, a situation that led the Vice president to write the police to commence investigation about that and charge Jackson Ude for libel and slander.
The presidential spokesman took to his twitter handle yesterday to debunked the misleading story from the publisher.
He tweets:
To @SaharaReporters: I don’t write stories for the News Agency of Nigeria. NAN did not at anytime write any such rubbish against the respected Vice President. It was Jackson Ude, who the VP reported to the police who published the false allegation.
But as a Presidential spokesman, I stood in defence of the administration against the attempt by a defeated presidential candidate and digital publisher to cause the overthrow of the government elected by Nigerians. For doing my job, I know that there is a price to pay.
