During a press briefing in Umuahia on Sunday, the party conveyed its astonishment at the Senator's dismissal, particularly since it pertained to the internal matters of the Labour Party, which they argue should not be subject to judicial scrutiny.

The party criticized the judiciary for what they perceive as hasty and divisive rulings, particularly citing the Appeal Court's decision to overturn the removal of Hon. Amobi Ogah, who represents the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, based on section 77 of the constitution.

The party also raised questions about the authority of the Appeal Court judge who nullified Senator Nwokocha's election, characterizing the judgment as "unorthodox" and calling for its immediate release. They accuse the Appeal Court of altering the will of the people and imposing decisions that do not align with public sentiment.

The party asserts that Senator Nwokocha has not been legally removed from his position and maintains his status as a member of the Senate. They contend that the legal dispute is grounded in section 77, an area they believe no court should adjudicate. They question the consistency of the judge's rulings, especially when considering that all the judgments that day were based on the same section (section 77). The party hopes that the judiciary will address this situation with fairness and integrity.
