Famous Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky has declared that he will no longer accept any awards or acknowledgements meant for women.
This announcement follows a tumultuous period stemming from a recent accolade awarded by actress Eniola Ajao. The initial spotlight came when Bobrisky was named 'Best Dressed Female' at Ajao's film debut event a few months ago, sparking a wave of public criticism.
The situation escalated when Bobrisky was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges related to naira abuse during the event. This resulted in a six-month jail term for the influencer. Matters worsened when an audiotape surfaced online, allegedly capturing Bobrisky confessing to bribing EFCC officials to avoid more severe money laundering accusations and to serve his sentence in a luxury apartment.
The leaked tape ignited a heated online debate, eventually leading to Bobrisky's re-arrest. Following these events, Bobrisky fled the country and took to Instagram to share his frustrations: "My problems began when I accepted the best dressed female award with a N1 million prize. From now on, if I see a 'best dressed female' award, I will immediately vacate the premises. Everyone is aware of my high-class status. Want to compete against me? Your mother would never approve! However, I will escape when the issues become more serious."
