Early on Saturday morning, a fire completely destroyed the Araromi Spare Parts Market in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

According to reports, the fire incident, which began at around two in the morning, affected about forty-five (45) stores.
The incident was confirmed to Naijacrawl by the Oyo State Fire Service.
Rev. Canon is the State Fire Service's general manager. Yemi Akinyinka stated that men from the command were able to put out the fire around 5 a.m. in an interview with the Daily Post on Saturday.
"Our men are at Araromi Market Agodi Gate since 2:30 a.m., where they are putting out the fire caused by indiscriminate refuse burning," Akinyinka said in a phone conversation with Naijacrawl.
“The fire was suppressed at 5:00 a.m. A cooling-down operation is ongoing to suppress reignition. I'm on my way for an on-the-spot assessment.
