On the quest of containing the exponential spreading of the novel coronavirus in the most populous state in the country and the centre of commerce in Nigeria, the Lagos state government has now extends the testing centre in the state to 26.

This means, there will be a testing centre in each of the 20 local goverments in the state, while Ikorodu local government will have one additional centre, which will make it 2 in Ikorodu local government, and Alimosho local goverments will have additional 5, which will now make it 6 centres in the large Alimosho local goverments.

The development was made known by the Senior Special Assistant to the the Governor on Health, Dr. Oreoluwa Finnih through her twitter handle.

One of the tweets reads: While urging residents to desist from engaging in hoax calls or trying to call the twenty-six call centres for fun, the SSA added that residents willing to report Covid19 emergencies should still contact the 08000CORONA. @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat @gboyegaakosile @Mr_JAGss.

Lagosians are advised to make good use of this great opportunity.
