The Kwara state high court in Ilorin has sentenced a corps member named Oyeyemi Caleb for romance scam.

Oyeyemi was sentenced to two years imprisonment for Yahoo-Yahoo scam.

He was arrested by the EFCC on the 16th of March. Following Informations gathered by the anti-graft agency, the 21-year-old young man impersonated as a white chick for hook-up to defraud one Wilson of $100 (N41k) to run hook-up with him.

The judge Adenike Akinpelu, who passed the statement sentenced the convict to one-year imprisonment on each of the two charges.

Justice Adenine enforced that his bank account of N80,000 be offered to the EFCC and his phones be submitted as well
