Last Saturday, a young girl lost her life after being pushed out of a moving commercial tricycle, known as a keke, by armed robbers.
The incident took place near the harbour market on Udu Road in the Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Witnesses reported that the gunmen robbed the girl of her personal belongings inside the keke before violently pushing her out at high speed. She sustained severe head injuries after hitting the tarred road.
A good Samaritan rushed her to several hospitals, but each demanded a doctor's report before offering treatment. With no immediate medical help available, the good Samaritan had no option but to return her to the scene of the incident.
Attempts to reach the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, for comments were unsuccessful as he did not respond to phone calls or WhatsApp messages.
