In a shocking incident, 33-year-old Dominic Kenneth faced charges in an Ikorodu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos on Wednesday for allegedly causing grievous harm to his neighbor by removing his scrotum.
The accused, Mr. Kenneth, whose address was not disclosed, is charged with causing grievous harm and pleaded not guilty during the court proceedings.
According to the Prosecutor, Christian Okonofua, the incident occurred on March 1, around 12:20 p.m., at No 1, Abdul Rasaq Street, Balogun area of Ikorodu. Mr. Kenneth, allegedly involved in a fracas, is accused of unlawfully causing grievous harm to his co-shop owner and neighbor, Pascal Uche, by removing one scrotum from his private part.
The prosecutor cited that the offence contravened Section 245 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, with a potential penalty of seven years in prison if found guilty.
Magistrate A.O. Onalaja granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250,000, requiring two sureties for the bail process. The case is scheduled for mention on March 14. Stay tuned for further updates on this peculiar legal development.
