In a shocking incident in Ogun State, a 44-year-old man, Basiru Aliu, narrowly escaped death after being brutally attacked by two security guards.
Aliu, who was assisting his employer, Kingsley Nwabueze, in moving belongings to a new apartment, was accused of theft in the Agura Sabo area of the state.
The attack occurred while Kingsley was relocating to a new residence in the Ijokun area. Aliu was helping with the packing when the security guards, Segun Sodiya and Segun Abatan, accused him of stealing his boss’s property. Despite having no evidence, the guards took matters into their own hands in a horrifying manner.
Instead of reporting Aliu to the police or contacting his employer for clarification, the guards doused him with petrol and attempted to set him ablaze. Fortunately, the victim was rescued before the situation escalated further.
This brutal assault landed Aliu in the hospital and prompted a strong warning from the police to Nigerians about taking the law into their own hands.
The disturbing incident highlights the importance of proper conflict resolution and the dangers of vigilante actions. Further details on the police investigation and the consequences faced by the perpetrators will follow as the story develops.
This tragic yet captivating story serves as a wake-up call about the need for justice and accountability in society. Stay tuned for updates.
