Following the announcement of the All Progressives Congress's (APC) Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket, a well-known priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja by the name of Fr.

Oluoma Chinenye John, also known as Fada Oluoma, claimed that if the party wins in 2023, Muslims would remain in power following Bola Tinubu's administration.

Remember that former Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima was confirmed as Tinubu's running partner for the APC presidential nomination yesterday.

As a result, the majority of Southerners and Northern Christians have kept criticizing the ruling party for choosing a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

In response, Fada Oluoma voiced worry that the APC's action will continue to inflame religious feelings in the nation in a message posted on his verified Facebook page on Monday.

In the next presidential elections, he urged the disgruntled citizens to cast their ballots for a better political party, emphasizing that other candidates were prepared to alter the current situation.

"APC is just one party; there are other parties in Nigeria," he wrote. The diversity of choices is one of democracy's greatest strengths. Crying about APC candidates while other candidates are running calls into question our willingness to change the existing quo or our ability to accept and make wise judgments.
The APC's Muslim-Muslim ticket has just one main motivation: electoral success. Without a Muslim vice president, the APC will likely lose the entire presidential election and suffer substantial support from the North. A Muslim vice president is necessary because of this fear. Don’t let anyone beguile you to make it a religious problem, if you do, you will keep losing the big picture.
"I'll never boil this down to a religious issue; it's more about political shrewdness. APC prioritized electoral votes before moral convictions. The APC is aware that some Christians may be insulted, but they pushed through nevertheless, perhaps realizing that the math of getting more votes favors them in this case more than sentiments. You are correct if you don't like it.
Weeping and lamenting it? Where we diverge is there. If the PDP and APC don't appeal to you, consider investing in the Labour Party, joining it, preaching it, and winning over others. Voters will decide if the APC made a wise decision in doing this. If this is a poor tactic, the APC should lament it. Even card-carrying members of a party are not forced to vote for the candidates of their party.
"Nigeria would democratically transfer power from one Muslim to another if the APC wins the presidency in 2023. This means that in our effort to build a better country, religious sentiments can be trampled. That implies that similar emotions like those of a group or place can also be hammered.
