With the acquisition of NNS Kada which is the latest in the Nigerian Navy's Fleet Recapitalization Program.
The new ship is the biggest naval vessel in the Nigerian Navy and gives Nigeria the ability to conduct amphibious invasions at any location on foreign shores in the Gulf of Guinea and beyond.
With the ship, one can fly in troops with the Hercules C-130 aircraft, it cannot deploy over a thousand troops, heavy artillery and Battle Tanks
This makes NNS Kada the single most important vessel in the Nigerian Navy at the moment.
The Nigerian Navy’s newest Ship, NNS KADA, a Landing Ship Tank (LST), on arrival in Lagos, Nigeria, in May 2022, after 56 days of sailing from Sharjah, UAE, visiting 5 ports en route. The Nigerian Armed Forces are undergoing a major Fleet Recapitalization/Modernization effort.
