The video captures an instance of brutality against a civilian in Rivers State.

It is crucial to highlight that the soldiers responsible for this reprehensible conduct have been identified and promptly apprehended. The Division wants to make it unequivocally clear that the Nigerian Army upholds the highest standards of professionalism, adhering strictly to established rules of engagement and respecting the fundamental human rights of the citizens.


In light of this incident, Major General Jamal Abdussalam, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division, Nigerian Army/Land Component Commander, Joint Task Force, South South, Operation DELTA SAFE, has directed an immediate and thorough investigation. He assures the public that every effort will be made to ensure that those involved face appropriate sanctions.


The Division encourages well-meaning members of the public to continue providing credible information about such unprofessional behavior.
