Few days after the Apex court pronounced the re-trail of the former governor of Abia state, who also represent Abia North senatorial district at the upper chamber Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the senator will likely join his colleagues at the Red chamber tomorrow.

It will be recalled that the Senator was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment last December, and after spending 5 months at Kuje correctional centre in Abuja, the senator was freed.

The senator was prosecuted for mismanagement of a sum of 7 billion naira when he was the governor of Abia state between 1999-2007.But the Supreme court last week quash the decision of the high court because the Judge that pronounced the verdict has been elevated to a higher court and does not have the constitutional right to chair the hearing, a situation that made the Supreme court to order the re-trail of the case.

The Senator in his statement said he has learnt a lot of lesson in the last five months of imprisonment.
