Deji Adeyanju, an activist lawyer based in Abuja, has suggested that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State will support Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC's nominee for president in 2023.
Wike and some of his party members, according to Adeyanju, won't leave the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He declared that they will stay in the PDP and seek to make Tinubu the next president of Nigeria.
The activist further asserted in a tweet that Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), both of whom are running for president in 2023, are inadvertently promoting Tinubu.
Adeyanju clarified that Obi and Kwankwaso's refusal to join forces against the APC is a wonderful strategy in their favor.
He wrote: “Wike & others won’t go to APC but they are all likely to stay in PDP and work for Mr. Agbado. Obi and Kwankwaso are also indirectly going to do the same.
“Their refusal to form a single alliance with the opposition to challenge the Govt in power is all a perfect game plan.”
Wike had a private meeting with three APC governors yesterday in River State.
The governors are Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, and Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.
