Former presidential aide and independent journalist, Jackson Ude, has called for the resignation of Nigerian Senate President Godswill Akpabio, warning that failure to step down will lead to explosive revelations.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), cited by LATEST_NEWS Blog, Ude stated that Akpabio must resign in light of sexual harassment allegations leveled against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. He cautioned that if Akpabio refuses to vacate his position, a series of damaging exposés could shatter his reputation and further erode the credibility of the Nigerian Senate.
"Embattled Senate President Godswill Akpabio must resign following the sexual harassment allegations made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan," Ude wrote.
"His refusal to step down will trigger revelations that could severely damage both his career and the integrity of the legislature. It’s time for the uncommon crooked nackademus to save himself, the Senate, and the nation at large."
Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Akpabio
The controversy erupted when Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, publicly accused Senate President Akpabio of sexual harassment. She made the shocking claims during an interview on Arise TV’s The Morning Show on Friday, February 28, 2025.
As tensions rise, the pressure on Akpabio to respond to these allegations is mounting. Will he step down or risk further damaging revelations? Stay tuned for updates.
