In a chilling twist, the body of Ogubode Quadri Adedamola, a 28-year-old Lagos State University (LASU) graduate, has been discovered buried near a church in Lagos.
Adedamola, the CEO of Horlar Edu Consultancy, was reported missing on January 16, 2025, after last being seen in front of CCC Ilerioluwa Parish, LASU 2. His disappearance sparked a police investigation after his girlfriend raised the alarm.
The church pastor confesses after bank transactions expose him
Superintendent Evangelist Whepetoji Babaniyeh, the pastor of CCC Ilerioluwa Parish, initially denied any involvement. However, investigators uncovered damning financial evidence: a $1.5 million transfer from Adedamola’s account on the day he vanished. The money was traced to the pastor's bank account, his daughter's, and others.
With the evidence stacked against him, Babaniyeh confessed to the crime, leading police to Adedamola’s burial site near the church. In a shocking discovery, officers also found a gun and an axe hidden under the church altar.
