Prayers Of The LP Presidential Candidate 

1. That it be determined that Senator Bola Tinubu and Senator Shettima Kashim were not qualified to contest the Presidential election.

2. That all votes recorded for Tinubu are wasted votes due to non-qualification / disqualification.

3. That it be determined that on the basis of the remaining votes, the 1st Petitioner (Peter Obi) scored majority of lawful votes cast at the election and had not less than 25% of the votes cast in 24 states AND the FCT.

4. That the second respondent (Tinubu), having failed to score 25% in the FCT was not entitled to be declared winner of the Presidential election.

5. Alternatively, an order cancelling the election & conduct a fresh election at which Tinubu, Shettima & APC shall not participate .

6. That Tinubu was not elected by majority of lawful votes cast in election.

7. In the further alternative, that the Presidential election is void on the ground of non compliance with provisions of the electoral act 2022 and the 1999 constitution as amended.

8. An order cancelling the Presidential Election and conducting a fresh Presidential election.

The hearing will involve a pre-hearing session to clarify if there are any applications before the main hearing will start. The petitions were filed by Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party who both sought to nullify the election or declare themselves the winners due to alleged irregularities during the election. 

A faction of the Action Alliance also seeks to nullify Tinubu's victory as President-elect.

In replying affidavits before court, Nigeria Labour Party's Peter Obi is accusing the electoral body,INEC of showing open bias in favour of Bola Tinubu, now president-elect, and "adorning the garb of a contestant" in its objections against petition, terms it as an “embarrassment".

INEC termed Peter Obi's petition as "grossly defective, abusive, vague, nebulous, generic, general, non-specific, ambiguous, equivocal, hypothetical, and academic; arguing it "successfully conducted the election" according to the Constitution of Nigeria.
