President Bola Tinubu strongly condemned the increasing rate of kidnapping across Nigeria, stating that those involved should be treated as terrorists.

He made these remarks during a Ramadan dinner with members of the Federal judiciary, hosted by Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on Tuesday.

Tinubu emphasized the need to categorize kidnappers as terrorists due to their cowardly actions. He highlighted their targeting of vulnerable individuals and schools, causing widespread fear and unrest.

The president assured that decisive measures will be taken to eradicate this menace.

The dinner was attended by current and retired judicial officers, including former CJNs Justice Mahmud Mohammed and Justice Walter Onnoghen.
