Internet scam is still on the rise once again in the country as the men of the economic and financial crime commission are on their feet in the quest to put an end to that or at least minimize the rate.

The EFCC Enugu zone secured the conviction of one Samuel Orie alias Scott Gibb and also a serving Nysc member for internet fraud related case.

He was arraigned before Justice IN Buba of the federal high court Enugu on one count of impersonation and obtaining by false pretence to the tone of 150 Us dollars.

The convict frequently presented himself as Mr Scott Gibb, an American contractor that travels around the world and uses the fake identity to dupe people of their cash and valuables. The young man was sentenced to one month imprisonment.
