Speaking to newsmen over the weekend, the governor stated that the herdsmen group are always welcomed in the state and that the government of the state will always make sure that they are safe. Speaking further, he stated that the leader of the herdsmen in the nation Miyetti Allaah is also his friend and part of his government as there are so many uses of the herdsmen and their cattle for the state. He made it known that any body killed or any farm produce destroyed by the herdsmen will be paid for by the culprit before handing them over to the police for prosecution, he also said that any resident of the state that attacks either the herdsmen or their cattle will also pay equal fine. He said the security department of the state are under surveillance with helicopter monitoring the activities of the herdsmen in order to ensure peace and stability. He said that no herdsmen is allowed to enter the state with Ak47 riffle or any arms or ammunition in order to ensure peace and maintain order and also to avert violence.

The people present applauded the governor for such a good plan and pledged their support in order to help his administration run a peaceful anambra state.
