With manager Hansi Flick serving a two-game suspension, Sorg took center stage at the post-match press conference to analyze the Blaugrana’s performance.
According to Sorg, Barcelona's lack of focus at the start of the game proved costly, allowing Sergio González to score an early goal that secured all three points for the visitors.
“The team wasn’t fully focused at the beginning, and that lapse led to the goal,” Sorg admitted.
Despite creating several scoring opportunities, the Catalan giants failed to convert their chances and turn the game around.
“It's been a tough season for us in the league. We had the chances to win, but we couldn’t capitalize,” Sorg added.
The assistant coach acknowledged the frustration of such defeats but emphasized the importance of perseverance:
“Losses like this are hard to swallow, but they’re part of the process. We need to keep working hard to achieve the results we want.”
Barcelona will now look to regroup and bounce back as they aim to climb the LaLiga standings.
