Ajax's squad for Tuesday's UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool includes Calvin Bassey.

In the Eredivisie champions' 5-0 victory over SC Heerenveen on Saturday, Bassey suffered a minor calf injury.

The Nigerian international put in a strong performance before being substituted with six minutes remaining after taking a bad hit from an opponent.

There were concerns the adaptable defender might not make the trip to Anfield, but he is healthy enough to play.

Bassey was part of Ajax’s 24-man travelling party on Monday morning.

The 22-year-old made his debut in the UEFA Champions League for Ajax against his former club, Glasgow Rangers, last Wednesday.

He grabbed an assist as Alfred Schreuder’s men won 4-0 at home.

Liverpool will look to bounce back from the 4-1 defeat to Napoli last week.
