Bayern Munich are reportedly eager to bring Vincent Kompany on board as their new manager, eyeing him as a potential replacement for Thomas Tuchel.
Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that the Bundesliga powerhouse is keen on recruiting Kompany, despite his recent relegation with Burnley.
Romano noted on X, “Vincent Kompany has been considered as an option at several clubs in recent days despite relegation with Burnley. Understand FC Bayern have discussed Kompany internally among possible candidates for the job. Brighton, still waiting to make a decision on a new coach.”
The Bavarians are in search of a new head coach following their unsuccessful attempts to secure a replacement for Tuchel, who has overseen his final match with the club. Bayern's efforts to attract top names like Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, Ralf Rangnick, and Oliver Glasner have yet to bear fruit, making Kompany a viable option.
Despite Burnley's challenging season, which ended with just 24 points and relegation, Kompany's managerial skills have caught Bayern Munich's attention as they look to rebuild and strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
