Bernardo Silva discussed his uncertain future and a potential transfer to Barcelona in-depth for the first time this summer.

He stated that after the transfer window closes, he is not sure if he will stay at Manchester City.

Barcelona is interested in Bernardo, and Pep Guardiola admitted last week that he doesn't know if the popular Portuguese playmaker will stay with City past September 1. Guardiola emphasized that City want Bernardo to stay, and despite this week’s rumours to the contrary, no offer has been made or accepted.

Bernardo has already spoken about his precarious situation, reiterating his personal stance against leaving City and refusing to rule out a move out of the club in the upcoming weeks.

Speaking to ESPN, he said:

I’ve always said that I’m happy here, but I have no idea what’s going to happen. We’ll see. Honestly. My relationship with the club is very honest. I’ve been open with them and they know what I want.
If I stay, I’m very happy and I will always respect this club and give all my best. If not, it’s football and we’ll just see what happens. "
