The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Tuesday the postponement of the draw date for the group stages of the Champions League and Confederations Cup.

CAF, however, failed to offer any reason for the postponement of the drawing ceremony.

The draw was initially scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

The continent’s soccer governing body stated that a new date would be announced in due course.

Rivers United are the only Nigerian club still competing on the continent.

The Port Harcourt club made it to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup following a 6-1 aggregate win against Al Nassr of Libya.
