Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has hit out at Arsenal’s players, accusing them of becoming cocky in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners let a 2-0 lead slip for the second successive game against West Ham on Sunday.

The leaders dominated the early stages with goals from Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard.

But Said Benrahma pulled one back with a penalty, and after Bukayo Saka missed a spot kick of his own in the second half, Jarrod Bowen leveled matters.

It followed Liverpool also battling back to take a point from the Premier League leaders the previous week.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, Carragher said: “The problem Arsenal have had is they’ve gotten complacent, they’ve gotten cocky.
“I mean, that game was so easy, I was commentating on it and couldn’t believe there was a way West Ham could get back into it.”
