Eric Chelle, the newly appointed head coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles, has expressed his excitement and honor at taking charge of the team.

The 47-year-old was unveiled on Monday during a grand ceremony held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium's media conference room in Abuja.

Chelle, who stepped down from his managerial role at Algerian club MC Oran to accept this prestigious position, reflected on Nigeria’s rich football history and his admiration for its iconic players.

“I am proud and deeply honored to be named the new head coach of the Super Eagles,” Chelle stated during his unveiling. “Nigeria boasts a remarkable legacy, with legends like Ikpeba, Amokachi, Amuneke, Yekini, Oliseh, Eguavoen, Finidi, West, Obi Mikel, and Babangida. I was a fan back then, and I’m equally inspired by the new generation of players like Lookman and Osimhen.”
The former RC Lens defender also shared insights into his coaching philosophy, emphasizing his commitment to an attacking style of play. “I love scoring goals. My teams are always goal-driven, and the Super Eagles will be no exception – we will score goals,” Chelle affirmed.

With Chelle at the helm, fans are eager to see how his leadership and passion will shape the future of the Super Eagles.
