In preparation for the forthcoming African Nation's cup, Cameroon has appointed Clarence Seedorf as the new manager of Cameroon's national team, with Seedorf former Netherlands international teammate, Patrick Kluivert named has the team assistant coach.



The duo will take over the Africa Cup of Nations champions, who missed out on qualification for the World Cup, with their first game against Comoros next month.

Both Seedorf and Kluivert were both team-mates in Ajax and the Oranje, Seedorf and Kluivert picked up a combined 165 caps for their nation during their glittering professional careers.

The new Cameroon's national team coach is a four-time winner of the Champions League and had a fantastic playing career but still struggling with his career as a team manager. Seedorf lasted just four months in his first managerial post at AC Milan, while he also failed to see out six months in short spells at Shenzhen in China and LaLiga side Deportivo La Coruna.

The 42 year old manager has promised that the defending champion of the African cup of Nations will continue to maintain its championship's position in the continent.
